I swear this is turning into a travel blog, but my travels have been different and unique and since this is a journal of sorts, I must record them. This week I took my first flight on the company jet, which is certainly a preferred method of travel. It's really quite efficient and the best part is stepping off the plane and directly into the rental car. I decided it might be fun to see what our physical damage adjusters do all day so I tagged along with Bill to Oakland and Reno to see all the wrecked tractors and trailers I could handle. My only real responsibility was to read the tread on every tire and record it. I bet I could accurately guess tire treads on semis now, a very useful skill to have.It was so beautiful to fly over the San Francisco bay area and quite warm in Oakland. Flying from Oakland to Reno over the Sierra Nevadas was possibly the most turbulant flight I have ever been on. I was medicated, as I always am, but I spent the entire flight with my head between my legs puking into a garbage can. Such an interesting situation to be in with a co-worker I don't really know. I did feel better when one of the pilots also succumbed to the turbulance though. Misery really does enjoy company. Luckily I was able to pull it together in time to eat at the buffet at the Nugget in Reno.
My next tag along trip is with the safety inspectors, can hardly wait!

This one looks A-OK Bill! (I was so helpful)
I took my tread reading job very seriously.
